Animal Testing = Pointless. Inhumane. Unneccessary.

I was helping my brother write a persuasive speech today and I came up with the topic of “The Cruelty of Animal Testing.”

I knew a little about it, but I learned so much.

And it was horrifying.

Millions of animals each year, primarily cats, dogs, primates, rats, mice and rabbits, are tested on and killed each year as corporations and universities test different products.

They rub corrosive chemicals into rabbit’s eyes blinding them and onto their skin, causing their skin to literally erode.

They force-feed dogs large amounts of pesticides.

They force mice and rats to inhale toxic fumes.

Like I said, absolutely horrific.

Millions of taxpayer’s dollars are spent on cruel and misleading animal experiments.  Were you aware that even if a product is tested on and kills an animal, it can and still will be marketed to you?  Basically if a animal dies from poisonous chemicals in products, those products can still be sold to you. There are so many products out on the shelves that proudly proclaim “This was not tested on animals.”  And we don’t put that shampoo on our head and burn our entire scalp off.  Also, new technology makes it so that animal testing is not even necessary.

So obviously, animal testing is:
POINTLESS.
EXPENSIVE.
INHUMANE.

From now on, I will not be using animal tested products.
